Why dont we have big show in English in Europe? German one does not have English translators! Why AmiWest is OS4 centric mostly? Also, no mention of x1000 CFE fix, full OS4 drivers, prepaid OS 4.2 like it never was. Shame on you AEON-Hype

More promises, less work

I'd be really cool to combine all of the GAL/PAL logic into one CPLD, like in the old Altera MAXPLUS-10 software suite where that was easy. Maybe a CPLD for the main 4091 functions, and a sub-board that had multiple SD/uSD card sockets using the ZuluSCSI SCSI emulator. (...a striped RAID array of many uSD cards as a mountable Amiga volume makes some sense in the future, to protect the past...)

Great Video, really important to capture as much detail and conversation as possible at these events that a lot of use can't quite make due to distance and cost these days.

Thanks, Kevin, for a very succinct, well-produced piece. I was unable to attend, so this summary gave a great view of the remodeled facility as well as great comments from some of my AmiWest friends. The show really is like a family reunion, a family that Amiga enthusiasts can join at any time.

@fbenji45 Hey Benji, I've actually got both, but largely stick to my Mac now out of convenience. Most of my older stuff was edited on a PC, though. iMovie doesn't quite have everything I need and I'm just used to FCP, but iMovie is a fine editor if you're putting together a basic movie. They've got quite different workflows, so it's whichever can best meet your needs. As long as you end up with a product you like, it doesn't really matter what tool you use to make it.

@Drewrob26 Most of the older stuff was edited with Adobe Premiere Elements, while most of the newer stuff's been edited with Final Cut Pro. A bunch in between were edited with NewTek SpeedEDIT.

khs tv is the worst

Well, Dicky hasn't been around this summer, but Alan and I have been working on stuff for KHS-TV Summer, albeit without bringing back Mr. Bananaman. Much of it is actually posted on the UA-cam channel.

what kind of high school is this? kids need to learn how to get along with people. so by carrying their ipods, and possibly annoying their classmates with volume levels, and/or possibly having them stolen, will allow them to acclimate to life outside of school where this really happens, and therefore teach them to be more careful with their belongings and also be more aware of their surroundings. In other words, socialized better.

Yup... I made the mistake of using a lower-grade video camera and not having as good lighting. The video was targeted for airing on KHS-TV the next day, so there wasn't time to re-tape and I couldn't get the key any better because of the lesser color/lighting quality.
